You will join a fully remote team spread across the United States, India, and Australia.

Position Overview

You lead the cloud infrastructure that powers a fast-growing, AI-native presentation platform. You design, secure, and scale backend services that delight thousands of global users every day. Your work keeps the platform reliable as the company pushes new real-time collaboration features and onboards ever-larger teams.

Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve operational processes to deliver high availability, low latency, and rapid incident resolution for the live platform
• Provision and manage cloud resources to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Apply security best practices and meet all relevant compliance standards across environments and deployments
• Architect end-to-end solutions, including database schemas and microservices, with a focus on resilience and performance
• Write and review backend code and build robust services that support the product roadmap
• Lead medium- to large-size features end to end in partnership with product and design
• Inject craft and attention to detail into micro-interactions and user-facing functionality
• Propose new ideas, drive innovation, and leave your unique mark on the product
• Share knowledge, mentor peers, and help shape a world-class engineering culture
• Participate in hiring processes and represent engineering values during candidate evaluations

Must have Criteria

• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in Node.js, Python, JavaScript, and Bash or Shell scripting
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers; AWS preferred
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerisation, and serverless computing
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience using logging tools such as Loki or Splunk and monitoring stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles

Nice to Have

• 1–2 years at a renowned software company, ideally early in your career
• Background building text editors, online whiteboards, CMSs, or creator/developer tools
• Experience developing real-time, multi-user collaboration features beyond basic CRUD
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure or DevOps projects
• Track record at a design-centric organisation or in an SRE role at a growth-stage company
