Position Overview
You'll serve as the operational backbone of procurement operations, managing the complete purchase request and purchase order lifecycle using Zip. You'll be the key liaison ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams, vendors, and accounts payable while maintaining compliance and preventing delays. This role offers direct exposure to fast-paced fintech operations and the opportunity to streamline critical financial processes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Administer purchase requests (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) in Zip ensuring completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance
- Guide internal requestors through Zip workflows, required documentation, and approval processes
- Monitor PR and PO status, follow up on approvals and resolve workflow issues to prevent delays
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve questions related to POs, invoicing requirements, and payment status
- Serve as liaison between requestors, vendors, and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and PO mismatches
- Track and follow up on invoice approval status to support on-time vendor payments
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supporting documentation within Zip system
Must Have Criteria
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement operations or accounts payable support
- Hands-on experience administering purchase requests and POs in a procurement system
- Experience with Zip procurement platform (strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with proven attention to detail in financial processes
- Ability to manage multiple procurement requests and priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor and stakeholder interactions
- Experience resolving invoice discrepancies and PO matching issues
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in fintech or cryptocurrency industry
- Experience at procurement software companies or similar finance operations companies
- Familiarity with additional finance systems and AP automation tools
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in financial operations
